Important update regarding this year's rodeo competition:
Professional Lineman Teams Notice-
Please note that professional lineman teams will not be eligible to compete at the Montana Lineman's Rodeo. For the purposes of this event, a professional team refers to a Journeyman Lineman that does not work in the field on a regular basis.
The rodeo will continue to feature apprentice and journeyman competitors that are actively engaged in field work, in alignment with our established competition structure and safety standards.
We appreciate your understanding and continued support of the Montana Lineman's Rodeo.
Our Story
The Montana Lineman's Rodeo aims to promote public safety and awareness regarding the dangers of high-voltage powerlines and electrical equipment, while also highlighting the skills and expertise of lineworkers. We support the professional growth and safety of our participants through testing and showcasing work skills, safety techniques and the precision of linemen through competitions such as pole climbing, hurt man rescue and mock on-the-job situations. We provide a platform to showcase these essential workers to the public, while being a family-friendly event at no cost.

Competition
Saturday, July 18 • 08:30 AM — 4:00 PM
While enjoying the competition, take a walk around and check out the vendors, take a bucket truck ride with Altec, and grab a bite to eat!
Don't forget to check inside the indoor roping arena to grab some rodeo swag and a raffle ticket!

Lantern Ceremony

We will kickoff with our lantern ceremony, honoring members who have passed in the last year.

Live Music

Join us under the pavilion for live music from Vanilla Gorilla!

Opening Ceremony
Saturday, July 18 • 07:45 AM
Opening ceremony will include the raising of flags, and National Anthem.

After Competition
Saturday, July 18 • 04:30 PM — 7:30 PM
At the conclusion of the competition, please join us for dinner & awards ceremony, as well as, the live & silent auctions.
After the auctions, Kenny Franks will be DJing under the pavilion!

Is there a cost for admission?
The Montana Lineman's Rodeo continues to be FREE to everyone! This is a family friendly event, so bring everyone and learn about what these hardworking folks do!
